Heading north 14/6/12

The grass is slowly getting greener and the trees taller. There's not much spinifex and plenty of termite mounds.

A hi of 31• today, with burny sun! We are now having a rest before a beef and barra BBQ tonight :-)

Here's a glimpse of our lunchtime companions. 2 males and 10 or more females


We r seeing lots of birds. Their are apostle birds every where - it took us ages to identify them.

Now we are at a real Aussie icon - Daly Waters Pub. It has collections hanging everywhere - shirts, hats, thongs, number plates , undies, bras etc etc etc. we've just feasted on the beef and barra BBQ, and we are listening to Mary Ann again. She's great! To be followed by someone else. Watch this space
