Nullabor day 4 - to Ceduna

I wrote this entry and tried to post it and it disappeared into cyber space , so now it's an abridged version :-(

We were woken by our phone alarms just as the sun was rising - they'd changed to daylight saving time in the night, so we got an early start, which was just as well.

26kms, and we were at the Head of the Great Australian Bight, where southern right whales come in to the sheltered waters with their babies. The ocean was beautiful

and so were the whales. Two mother and baby pairs came in quite close. We watched and photographed them for a long time.

When we finally dragged ourselves away, we discovered that B and C had left their caravan step behind at the Nullabor roadhouse, so that was a quick trip back.

On toward Ceduna, and about halfway we began to see cultivated fields. I really miss the desert, it's so vast, with just tiny outposts of man now and then.
