SMS tonight: "We've spent three days north of Auckland ... absolutely spectacular. Now heading south to Hamilton. Some flat and/or straight roads today. Not cold yet.
Camper so high I need a step. Makes our van seem spacious so we have to be organised."
Later: "Tomtom psychotic for much of day but rational through Auckland luckily".
