Bungle Bungles

Great day today! We were up at 5.30 to leave at 6.30 as it was a three hour drive to get to the walk we wanted to do. It was well worth the early start. The drive into the national park was 80km of dirt road with corrugations, potholes, rocks, twists and turns, and 10 creek crossings each way! That was fun! As it's Sunday, we played some Christian music and sang along (vibrato as we were being shaken around so much!) and then we did the walk to Cathedral gorge - the best cathedral I've ever been in! The walk followed the sandy creek bed through the amazing gorge to a natural amphitheatre at the end of the gorge, with a pool from the waterfall, (which wasn't running as it's the dry season.) Beautiful! Cathy did really well to manage the walk too, so she didn't miss out. As usual we took loads of photos. The Bungle Bungles is different from anything I've ever seen before. The rock formations are unique as you'll see when we put some photos on Facebook. We're having such a fantastic time. It's certainly a holiday of a lifetime, and it's so good to be sharing it with such good friends.
