Port Hedland

Not an exciting place. Mining town, caravan park busy and disorganised , and people started going to work at 5am, I think.

We had a quick look around, at the iron works, the port, the longest train I've ever seen loaded with iron ore and having five engines, the tidal mud flats and the salt works.

This morning we spent about 30 mins trying to book caravan parks for the next ten days. lots are booked out !
