Carnarvon

We've got a great caravan site here - instead of a row of vans behind us we have a farm. :-)

It's quite interesting seeing red dirt/sand and scrubby vegetation, and right beside it a banana or mango farm looking all lush and green. They have great underground water here for irrigation, and it looks quite different to other north coast towns. We've read that Carnarvon is the only place where the central desert meets the coast.
Today we drove to the blowholes - spectacular!

The meeting of land and ocean was really fantastic!

Then we went to one of the farm shops and had pure fruit "icecream" - frozen strawberry or custard apple pulp on a stick. Delicious!

I forgot to mention two things - we are out of the tropics crossed over the tropic of Capricorn yesterday. And we saw whales offshore today!
