Exmouth day 1

Some of the drive here was pretty much a desert. It started with lots of spinifex and a little red dirt, then less spinifex and more red dirt, with parallel red sand dunes and spinifex, till it was like this:

After that it improved somewhat, till we got to Exmouth.

Arriving at the caravan park, we discovered that not only were our sites not together (which we knew), but that they were as far apart as was possible in this very big caravan park. This is quite annoying, since it means carrying chairs a long way to get together, pr to get shade, and having to communicate by mobile. But Jackies Optus phone has no coverage. Luckily Phil has a newTelstra mobile

We haven't seen Exmouth yet, that's for tomorrow

For a while I thought the best thing we saw today would have to be Brumbys, but tonight we went to see the moon rise over the water &/or mudflats. Beautiful! Not quite as effective as at places like broome, where the mudflats work really well at low tide, but beautiful !
