Perth

Today the six of us went to Fremantle - a historic town with a less frenzied feel about it than Perth. We visited the Round House which used to be a prison. Graham tried out the stocks.

The prisoners built a tunnel under the prison so that the whalers didn't have to drag whales up the hill.

The men visited the maritime museum while the ladies went on a wild goose chase looking for a fabric shop that wasn't there. All we found was the facade of the old biscuit factory, complete with huge biscuits on the fence.

We decided by then that it must be time for afternoon tea. Waffles and two scoops of ice cream, maple syrup and chocolate syrup. Yum!
